Terms of service

Effective June 12, 2026

The service

keystroke (keystroketrainer.com) is a free, browser-based typing trainer and typing test. It is provided as-is: we work to keep it fast and available, but we make no uptime or availability guarantees, and features may change.

Accounts

An account (Google sign-in) is optional and exists to save your progress. You are responsible for the account you sign in with. We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service (see acceptable use); suspended accounts can no longer sign in, but the trainer remains usable anonymously.

Acceptable use

  • Don't cheat the leaderboard — no forged or automated submissions, no misrepresenting machine-generated typing as your own.
  • Don't scrape, overload, or otherwise abuse the service or its API.
  • Don't pick a display name that is offensive or impersonates someone else.

Your data

Your typing data is yours. We display it publicly only according to your leaderboard visibility (anonymous by default — see the privacy policy). You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. The service is free; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us — which is nothing.

Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
